Of Irish-Palestinian heritage, Sara Dowling is one of the UK’s leading jazz vocalists. She was awarded ‘Best Vocalist’ in the 2019 British Jazz Awards and has a compelling stage presence. Inspired by the repertoire of the classic American songbook, Sara counts her most important influences as Sarah Vaughan and Betty Carter.
A Watermill favourite, Sara promises emotional ballads and rip-roaring scat singing, supported by an outstanding piano trio.
